In just a few days, the new Aqua Grabber level comes out. Below is an expanded image of the sneak peek Billybob posted last week. You’ll be able to play it next week.  

Also, new stuff in the Penguin Style catalog is out today.  Go get yourself some great new pieces for your penguin wardrobe.

In other news: I really love music and hope you’ve been enjoying the big Music Jam ‘08 party.  As you know, there are so many things that make it special.  So before it gets taken down on August 5th, I wanted to tell you about some of the cool things you might not know about yet:

• Giant instruments at the Dojo
• Icicles that sound like xylophones when you touch them in the Underground
• Floor piano in the Underground Pool (try flipping the green switch when other penguins are on it)
• Music stages that play only if someone is on them
• Big stage that changes music each day
• AND… The Dance Lounge:  Hit the green switch to change the big background.  Click it until you see the music notes.  See if you can figure out which game the music is from!

Music Jam!

Hey guys. The Music Jam Party is here. The party has two free items, backstage passes, clothing items, a new game, and much more! The Maracas have been brought back. Find them at the cove.

You can find a free Music Jam T-Shirt at the Plaza.

Backstage is at the Dock, and is only available for members.

You can purchase your backstage pass, and clothes at the Snow Forts.

There is a music catalog backstage.

There is a new game called DJ3K at the Night Club.

The point of the game is to make a beat. The better that the beat is the more coins that you will earn.

Here are some of the other features:

• There is an applause button in the bottom in the bottom right hand corner.
• View the Penguin Band at the Ice Berg.
• Play the piano on the piano floor at the Pool.
• Step on one of the many stages, and it plays new music.
• There is a new DJ Game at the Night Club.
• Press the button at the Lighthouse to watch confetti shoot out.
• Step on a pad at the Dojo to make music come out.
• Musical Icicles at the Mine.

There are many more things to do for this party.

Club Penguin Times!

The new newspaper is here. The Music Jam 2008 party will be coming with the DJ Table game on July 25th.

There is going to be loads of things to do in the Music Jam Party. Here is a list with many of them.

The Penguin Band will be visiting the Ice Berg. I made a picture with all of the members of the band.

Here are the upcoming events on club penguin:

• July 25 – Music Jam 2008, and new DJ Table Game.
• August 1 – New clothing catalog, and new pin hidden.
• August 8 – New play at the Stage.

New Game Level!

More game excitement!!  The upcoming new game in the Night Club isn’t the only game activity going on in Club Penguin!  Earlier this summer I mentioned a new level for an existing game… and in a couple weeks a different game will get an update!  Here’s a sneak peek for you:

Club Penguin Update!

Hello Penguins!

Yesterday’s post about the new music making game has stirred up a lot of excitement!  That’s awesome.  All of your comments are helpful, so keep them coming!  The team is still putting the finishing touches on the game so it will be all ready for Music Jam ‘08, which, as you know, begins Friday.  I can’t wait to hear what you think once you play the game!

In other news: Since the features were released last week, many of you requested to be able to view the igloos on the map as a list, so the team got to work and added it yesterday! From your map, click on the igloo and a list comes up.  Hopefully it will be even easier for you to check out cool igloos!  Try it out and let us know what you think.

New Game !

Hi Everyone!

Ever since Club Penguin began, there has been a DJ table sitting in the Night Club.

The plan always was to turn the DJ table into something more fun, something more interactive, but we never really got around to it.

Until now.

On Friday, July 25 with the launch of the Music Jam ‘08 party, we are introducing the new game!  It’s Club Penguin’s first music-making game!

Of course, it’s a little hard to show how cool it is from just a screenshot, since you can’t actually hear the music.  But when it launches with the party, you will.

PARTY PREP

Hello Penguins!

There’s been so much excitement around the new features so I thought I’d give you something else to look forward to…July’s party!

In other news:  Did you see the construction at the Night Club?  Something big is happening there – Grab your hard hats and jackhammers if you want to help out. I don’t want to give too much away but I can tell you it’s related to the party and a new game that will be coming!! Also, to get you in the groove for the musical festivities, new furniture and music were released today. I can’t wait to see how you’ve rocked out your igloos!!

Igloo Map Feature!

Hello Penguins!

The new features have definitely stirred up a lot of excitement since they launched successfully yesterday. Your feedback so far has been fantastic and really helpful! I hope you’re having fun exploring and trying out the features, and even discovering some that we didn’t announce. I heard about a few of them yesterday from some of you! 

As soon as the features launched, the team got to work on a few changes based on your comments. The big one they’re working on today is with viewing igloos on the map. The team is adding the ability to view igloos you can visit as a list. I’ll let you know when it is added!

The team is also working on fixing a few bugs. Some of you expressed concern about the green puffle at the Ice Rink and wondered if it’s permanent (some of you really liked it too!). Don’t worry, the rink will go back to normal soon–so enjoy the green puffle while it’s there! There’s a bug with the Ice Rink right now, and when it’s fixed you’ll be able to play hockey again! 

I’ll post more updates as they come in!

Features Launched!

Hello Penguins!

Great news!! The features have launched! Thanks to all of you for your help, patience and involvement in this project! 

Be sure to let us know what you like and even what you think should be changed.  

I’m really excited about Penguin Mail and wanted to remind everyone to check their mailboxes as soon as they have the chance. You can view your mailbox by clicking the envelope on the top left of your screen. And be sure to check it often because now buddies can send you mail even when you’re not online which means you’ll probably have mail waiting for you!! Plus you never know who you might get a postcard from! 

Here’s a quick list of features to look for:

• Server selection (this one you’ll notice when you’re logging into Club Penguin!)
• Penguin Mail (click the envelope on the top left screen to try it out)
• Player Card redesign (check out the sorting function!)
• Igloo background (This one just looks really cool!)

There’s a lot of smaller stuff too–can you find some of it? I’ll post a more detailed list later this week!

As with anything new like this, there will probably be some bugs and as always, the team will not stop working on it until they’re all squashed.

A couple quick notes:

• Your penguin name and password will need to be re-entered when you login for the first time with the new features. If you can’t remember your password, just click the Forgot Password link below the login. A new password will be sent to the email you used to create your penguin account. 

• You need to have Flash Player 9 installed on your computer in order to play Club Penguin.
